Set-Up for Success

Each project starts with an open discussion about not only WHAT the scope of the project is, but also HOW we will work together and WHO needs to be involved. Our Set-Up for success includes discussing issues, concerns, and needs, how we will communicate, what success looks like, who needs to be involved, political landmines, stakeholders involvement, roles and responsibilities, timelines, how to handle scope creep or mid-course changes, and unique challenges you are facing.

 

 

Discovery and Design

1.    Business Context.  The better we understand the organization’s business, history, vision, values, and strategies, the more we can align the objectives, content, tools, design and facilitation to the “real world.” This includes understanding everything we touch from: 

  • Determining what distinguishes top performers from others
  • Designing a Learning Journey Strategy and workshops
  • Designing an Impact Map that aligns business results to on-the-job behaviour and knowledge and skills
  • Understanding the organization and how it supports or hinders the ability to apply new behaviors and skills 
  • How we facilitate, interact and coach participants to stretch themselves in a workshop. 

2.    Leader and Manager Involvement.  Senior Manager involvement can occur in a number of ways from information gathering to participating as a guest speaker, in a skill practice or coach in a program. We look for ways to engage, involve, and provide senior managers with ways to be involved that benefit both themselves and the participants. Involving the managers of participants is also key before and after learning events. This includes expectation setting, application, coaching and support.

3.    Continuous Learning.  By building Learning Journeys, pre-work, manager involvement, sustainment and reinforcement activities, the learning extends to the real world. The key to impact is the “Power of the And,” what happens in the workshop, before and after.  In designing a journey, we work with clients to understand the business impact that manager involvement; real life application, practice, coaching, and feedback can have on the desired results. 

4.    Experiential and Interactive Learning.   It is well proven that adults learn by doing and discovering for themselves. We ensure that our programs are lively, well paced, and focus on practice, getting feedback, and more practice. A variety of highly interactive modalities, tools, and exercises are used to ensure discovery happens. Coupling this with inspiring participants, modelling excellence and authenticity, connecting and sharing, and creating a safe environment, participants become truly engage and open themselves to grow, learn, and change behaviors that will enable them to achieve personal, professional, and business results.

Implementation

We will work with you to ensure materials are ready to go as well as brief internal coaches who may be involved in the program.  We have a network of experienced facilitators globally that we can access as needed. We will brief them on your business, challenges, and your specific goals and needs.  If you desire, we can also provide Train-the-Trainer sessions for facilitators.

On-going Learning and Measurement

During our design phase we will build a Learning Journey that includes reinforcement activities that include ideas such as; cohort case discussions, case study analysis, videos, articles, individual and cohort coaching, To-do activities, management support, mobile apps, and more.

Designing Measurement into the Journey.  By building points of measurement from immediate impressions to application to behavior change and business impact, we can increase the likelihood of you and your organization seeing the value of the learning experience. We will work with you to design both the methods and how it will be accomplished easily and often.
